Interview with: Photographer Lizzie Churchill

As a photographer my 'day job' can vary every, single, day. Even editing can be different depending on the job and client. I shoot weddings, editorials, commercial work and also lifestyle work for some local bloggers, so constantly kept on my toes and I wouldn't change it for anything!

What about your surroundings in Cornwall inspires you most?

The most inspiring place I've shot in Cornwall, wow, hard question. I've shot in the most stunning gardens, costal locations and even in the odd field but I'd have to say anything coastal and in particular a shoot I did at Porthcurno beach this year for a swimwear brand. That place is just magical, especially when you scramble up the narrow path alongside the beach for the best vantage point EVER.

Where do you like to spend your down time in Cornwall?

A chilled day in Cornwall to me is getting out to really good coastal path and we're certainly not short of any! One of my favourite spots is along the North coast by St Agnes, but I'm not telling you anything more than that - you have to find some of these places on you're own ;)

What is your recommended best eat in Cornwall?

Good food is also something we have an abundance of here in Cornwall so it's great to get out and try as many new places as possible (hard task, I know). I actually have this amazing book called 'Saltwater Kitchen' that has a beautiful collection of places to dine as well as some of their signature dishes so i'm hoping to work my way through that currently. I recently popped into The Gurnards Head and was told I must go back for food so that's next up on my list.
